ABOUT ME My name is LeWan Hutchison. I am an English teacher at Dr. Henry A. Wise High School in Prince George's County Maryland. I have been teaching for about 15 years. I am currently teaching special needs students with learning disabilities. I truly enjoy educating the youth of this generation. I believe that education is what thrusts people into their destiny and purposes for life. One part of educating the youth is to provide them with skills that will span their lifetimes. A way for me to do that is to use what I am learning in STEP to achieve that goal.
My goals for STEP are: 1. to use the technological tools in order to increase student engagement within the learning process
2. to increase literacy through the use of technology
3. to make connections between the classroom and the world of work through the use of technology
4. to facilitate creativity for the purposes of fostering new thinking, engendering original uses of existing tools, and promoting collaboration among ideas.
